"Nobody in the industry offers a broader, fresher lineup of SUVs and crossovers than Chevrolet," said Batey. "From the all-electric Bolt EV to America's longest-running nameplate, Suburban, we've got something for every customer and lifestyle."

2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport

With Corvette Racing in its DNA, the all-new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is a pure expression of the car's motorsports-bred pedigree. It was introduced at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show.

Like the 2015 Le Mans-winning Corvette C7.R GTE Pro race car, the new Grand Sport combines a lightweight architecture, a track-honed aerodynamics package, Michelin tires and a naturally aspirated engine.

The 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport offers an estimated 1.05g in cornering capability - and up to 1.2g with the available Z07 package.

Heritage-inspired design cues and exclusive features acknowledge the historic Grand Sport legacy, established in 1963 to take on the world's best sports cars. Only five were built before a corporate decision suspending direct motorsports involvement ended the project.
"Racing has been part of Corvette's essence for more than 50 years and that track experience has helped us build better, more capable cars," said Mark Reuss, executive vice president of Global Product Development and Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. "The global acclaim for the seventh-generation Corvette validates that direct link and the 2017 Grand Sport takes its track-bred technology to a new, exciting threshold."

The Corvette Grand Sport coupe and convertible go on sale in summer 2016 in the U.S. and in fall 2016 in Europe.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD

New for 2017, Chevrolet Silverado HD trucks feature a patented air intake system that drives cool, dry air into the engine for sustained performance and cooler engine temperatures during difficult driving conditions. The intake system underwent extensive testing based on the most challenging real-world driving conditions to ensure capable performance no matter the weather.

Marked by a dramatic hood scoop, the all-new air intake system provides 60 percent of the air to the Duramax diesel engine from an inlet at the front of the hood. The air provided to the engine is very close to the outside ambient temperature and much cooler than the air under the hood.

Cooler air helps the engine run better under load, especially in conditions where engine and transmission temperatures can rise quickly. Running cooler allows the Duramax diesel to maintain full power and vehicle speed for capable trailering in even the toughest conditions.

There's also a ram-air effect from the incoming air at highway speed that helps pack more air into the engine. The air filter housing also draws 40 percent additional air from a dry location in one of the front fenders. It blends with the cooler air from the hood inlet before funneling into the Duramax's combustion chambers. This assures the engine can breathe even if the hood is completely blocked.

"The 2017 Silverado HD was engineered to provide maximum utility for our customers in even the most extreme situations," said Eric Stanczak, chief engineer, Silverado HD. "While developing this all-new induction system, we considered our customers towing a maximum-weight trailer through the Eisenhower Tunnel on a hot, rainy summer day."

2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible

Chevrolet revealed the 2017 Camaro ZL1 convertible. It offers comparable performance to the coupe model, thanks to the Camaro's modular and rigid body architecture, which was designed at the outset to support a high-performance convertible. As a result, only a few minor structural differences separate the coupe and convertible models, enabling the coupe's track-honed chassis and driver control systems to carry over unchanged. The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 convertible goes on sale in early 2017.

Acceleration for the ZL1 is delivered with a new supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine estimated at 640 hp (477 kW), and either a six-speed manual transmission with active rev matching or an all-new 10-speed automatic. Handling capability starts with the lightweight, stiffer structure of the all-new sixth-Gen Camaro, married with Magnetic Ride suspension and an electronic limited-slip differential. Standard technologies include Driver Mode Selector, dual-mode exhaust and advanced connectivity features.

2017 Chevrolet Sonic

Chevrolet introduced the 2017 Sonic - a more expressive, sporty take on the brand's fun-to-drive small car. It offers big technologies such as a new MyLink system with segment-exclusive Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a fresh exterior with new LED signature lighting.

The updated styling complements new comfort and convenience features such as an available heated steering wheel and a standard 7-inch-diagonal color touchscreen for the new MyLink system. Rear Park Assist is also new, adding to one of the most comprehensive safety packages in the segment.

"The new styling and features of the 2017 Sonic reinforce its position as a fun, efficient small car with leading technology - all at an affordable price," said Steve Majoros, director of marketing, Chevrolet Cars and Crossovers. "This is an important segment for Chevrolet, as we really have an opportunity to introduce ourselves to new buyers and show them what we're all about."
