The 2017 Nissan Versa Note hatchback, the popular 5-door hatchback model, combines with the Versa sedan to be America's best-selling nameplate in the entry-level segment.

Enhancements to the 2017 Versa Note are highlighted by a dynamic new front end treatment, which accentuates its popular forward-looking style even more with a new front fascia, "V-Motion" grille and swept-back halogen headlights. While now sharing a closer family resemblance with Nissan Sentra, Altima and Maxima, the new design retains the vibrant Versa Note personality, especially when wrapped in a new exterior color - Monarch Orange or Deep Blue Pearl. In addition, Versa Note S Plus, SV and SL grades receive the sporty rear fascia previously available only on Versa Note SR.

Other enhancements for the 2017 model year include a new wheel cover design for S Plus and SV grades and a revised 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design for the SL trim level. Inside, the 2017 Versa Note includes a number of customer input-driven changes, such as larger cupholders, the addition of a second 12-volt outlet for SV, SR and SL trims and the relocation of the first 12-volt outlet and USB auxiliary port to the front of the center console.

Nissan Micra Gen5, unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, is a complete redefinition of what Micra means... and is as audacious as it is revolutionary.

Targeted for Europe, the world's largest hatchback market, the Nissan Micra Gen5 is styled to turn heads, with a dramatic body length-defining character line. It is lower, wider and longer than its predecessors and has more interior space. It also has advanced new downsized turbo drivetrains, an agile chassis and a full complement of innovative safety features.

Styling

Remaining faithful to the Sway Concept unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Micra Gen5 fully embodies Nissan's latest design language with signature design cues and emotional body sculpting. Design cues include the distinctive V-motion grille, from where the sharp-edged character line runs through to the rear end, boomerang-shaped lights, and the floating roof - another Nissan design signature - that creates an airy feeling. Other features include rear door handles hidden in the C-pillars and an extended roofline that incorporates a spoiler, benefiting the car's aerodynamic performance and aesthetics.

The 2017 Nissan Sentra SR Turbo made its world debut at the 2016 Miami International Auto Show. The new Sentra SR Turbo joins the popular Sentra sedan lineup in fall 2016 in Nissan showrooms nationwide.

Sentra is Nissan's third best selling vehicle in the United States with sales up 11.2 percent in 2016 (through August). The new Nissan Sentra SR Turbo is expected to help keep the sales momentum going by expanding its market reach.

At the heart of the SR Turbo is its new 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIGTM) turbocharged engine that delivers a 50 percent horsepower increase from the normally aspirated 1.8-liter Sentra SR powerplant. Rated at 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque, the new SR Turbo engine offers 64 more horsepower and 52 more lb-ft of torque than non-turbo 2017 Sentra grades.

To help handle the increased power and torque, the new Sentra SR Turbo also receives an enhanced body structure, revised steering system, larger front disc brakes, new 6-speed manual or Xtronic transmission with manual mode and unique suspension tuning. The result is improved acceleration from standing starts and highway passing, improved handling and enhanced ride comfort.

As part of a major revision for the 2017 model year, the popular Nissan Rogue crossover now includes the widest range of available advanced technology features ever. For example, adding to the list of previously available Nissan Safety Shield technologies such as radar-based Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) (both now standard on Rogue SV grade in addition to Rogue SL), the 2017 Rogue is also available with Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP).

Two additional Safety Shield technologies that are newly available for 2017 are Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. Intelligent Cruise Control uses radar to maintain a set distance between the Rogue and the vehicle ahead, even braking to help maintain that distance.

Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection provides audio and visual display warnings to help alert the driver of a potential frontal collision and help reduce speed if necessary. If a collision is unavoidable, the feature can engage the brakes to help reduce both the speed of the impact and the severity of the collision. The system is also designed to help avoid or mitigate frontal collisions with pedestrians, using a camera-based system to recognize human shapes.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. unveiled the working prototype of its futuristic Nissan BladeGlider vehicle, combining zero-emissions with high-performance in a revolutionary sports car design.

The vehicles, developed from concept cars first shown at the Tokyo Auto Show in 2013, have arrived in Brazil to symbolize future technologies that will combine Intelligent Mobility, environmentally friendly impact and sports-car driving capabilities.

Carlos Ghosn, president and chief executive officer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. said: "These prototypes epitomize Nissan's drive to expand its Intelligent Mobility strategy, where driving pleasure combines with environmental responsibility. Nissan believes that enthusiasts should look forward to a zero emission future and Nissan BladeGlider is a perfect demonstration of that. It's the electric vehicle for car lovers."

The debut of the Nissan Bladeglider prototypes forms part of Nissan's on-going commitment to the development of zero-emission vehicles and new automotive technologies including autonomous drive systems and connectivity. Nissan already sells the world's highest-volume zero-emission car, the LEAF, and is pioneering Intelligent Mobility systems that will be deployed in a range of vehicles over coming years.

The next chapter of Nissan's "Year of the Truck" was unveiled with a sneak peek of the latest members of the Nissan Titan full-size pickup family - the 2017 Titan XD and Nissan Titan Single Cab models. The first-ever single cab offering in Titan history, the new trucks are designed to provide an affordable and rugged entry-point in the commercial fleet/work truck market.

The Single Cab is the second of three eventual Titan body configurations, joining the current Crew Cab and future King Cab. The Single Cab models are scheduled to go on sale in late fall 2016.

"Once we complete the roll-out of all Titan cab, bed, powertrain and grade level configurations, our all-new Titan family will cover about 85 percent of the total light pickup marketplace," said Rich Miller, director of Product Planning for Trucks, SUVs and Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. and chief product specialist for Titan and Titan XD. "More importantly, the Titan XD and Titan single cabs will have the power, torque, heavy duty chassis and durability demanded by today's demanding worksites - including the highest towing capacities and payloads in the lineup."

Nissan Pathfinder, one of Nissan's best known and most popular nameplates in its nearly 60-year history in the United States, is reborn for the 2017 model year with more adventure capability, a freshened exterior look and enhanced offering of safety and technology features.

The changes for the 2017 model year begin with its new 3.5-liter V6, which utilizes more than 56 percent new or new-to-Pathfinder engine parts and components - including combustion chamber design, pistons, intake manifold, e-VTC and new Direct Injection Gasoline™ (DIG) system. Horsepower for the new V6 engine increases to 284 hp (from the previous 260 hp) and torque is now rated at 259 lb-ft (up from 240 lb-ft). Maximum towing capacity has increased by 1,000 pounds to a best-in-class 6,000 pounds (when properly equipped).

The Nissan Pathfinder's refreshed exterior provides a stronger sense of adventure character and presence by adding Nissan signature design elements, such as the new "V-Motion" grille and boomerang-shaped headlights with LED daytime running lights. Other exterior enhancements include new front bumper, fog lights, outside rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals and new 18-inch and 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheel designs. In the rear, changes include new taillight and bumper designs.

With the introduction of the all-new second-generation Armada full-size SUV, arriving at Nissan dealers nationwide in mid-2016, the last piece of Nissan's transformation of its SUV and crossover lineup falls into place. The 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO made its debut at the famous Nürburgring race course, known as the one of the longest and most challenging race tracks in the world. This is also the place where the Nissan GT-R's potent performance was honed, tuned and developed.

Like the standard model, the GT-R NISMO's front end features a freshened face that's highlighted by a new bumper. And to help cool the car's high-output engine, the dark chrome V-motion grille has been enlarged to collect more air, without diminishing the car's aerodynamic performance. A new significantly reinforced hood avoids deformation at extremely high speeds, allowing it to keep its aerodynamic shape at all times.

But unlike the standard model, the front bumpers of the GT-R NISMO are made of carbon fibre, crafted with TAKUMI-like precision where layers of carbon-fibre sheets are carefully overlapped to achieve the ideal amount of stiffness.

The canards have been designed to improve airflow around the vehicle and generate a high level of downforce, while at the same time, direct air around the wheelhouse to improve the aerodynamics. Overall, the car's new shape generates more downforce than any other Nissan production car to date, which in turn results in exceptional high-speed stability.

The new GT-R NISMO is also the benefactor of the 2017 GT-R's refreshed interior, whose cabin possesses a more upscale feel than ever before. The redesigned dashboard, steering wheel and center armrest are covered with high-quality Alcantara® leather.

Nissan unveiled the new 2017 GT-R at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, highlighted by a fresh look inside and out, as well as major driving performance enhancements and key new features. All told, this is the most significant change to Nissan's flagship super sports car since it was introduced in 2007.

The 2017 GT-R's exterior receives a thorough makeover. The new "V-motion" grille, one of Nissan's latest design signatures, has been slightly enlarged to provide better engine cooling and now features a matte chrome finish and an updated mesh pattern. A new hood, featuring pronounced character lines flowing flawlessly from the grille, has been reinforced to enhance stability during high-speed driving. A freshly designed front spoiler lip and front bumpers with finishers situated immediately below the headlamps give the new GT-R the look of a pure-bred racecar, while generating high levels of front downforce.

The Nissan GT-R's familiar wind-cutting shape defines its profile, but the side sills have been pushed out to direct air flow around the vehicle. Styling and air flow enhancements continue in the rear, where GT-R's hallmark four-ring taillights are paired with new rear bodywork, along with functional side air vents next to the quad exhaust tips. The beltline between the lower black section and the body panel has been heightened to make the car look wider and more aggressive from the rear.

These exterior changes result in a sportier and sharper looking car - as well as an aerodynamically efficient one with more stability at high speeds, while keeping a 0.26 drag coefficient.

In the cabin is a redesigned, premium interior befitting a high-performance super sports car. The entire dashboard is new, including an instrument panel wrapped in a single, seamless piece of hand-selected Nappa leather artfully stitched with Takumi-style precision. The shape of the dashboard adopts a "horizontal flow" to deliver a sense of high stability for front seat occupants, while the line from the instrument cluster to the center console provides a distinct driver-oriented environment for the driver.

Nissan's global leadership in the crossover segment will be further strengthened by the arrival of the all-new Nissan Kicks.

The production Nissan Kicks retains the basic design cues taken from the Kicks Concept - first shown at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in 2014 - and is a stylish crossover built for busy city-dwellers to tackle everything the city can throw at it.

To meet initial Brazilian demand, Kicks will be produced at Nissan's benchmark plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Ramp-up to full production will start within FY16 at the Nissan facility in Resende, Rio de Janeiro - the site of a $192 million (R$750 million) investment to prepare for Kicks.

Nissan Kicks features established design signatures, such as Nissan's V-motion grille, boomerang head and taillights, and the floating roof with a "wrap-around visor" look to the windscreen and side glass.

During the engineering process, much attention was paid to the car's overall aerodynamic performance - not only to benefit its dynamic performance, but also its overall refinement by reducing wind noise.

Inside, the story is one of quality and futuristic design in a cabin full of innovative features expected by a target audience who are technology hungry. The interior promises best in class passenger space in the rear - despite the coupé-like roofline - as well as one of the largest load areas in its class.
